# TypeFlow Chinese vs Minus 5

The clearest difference is rating: Minus 5 at 5.0 against TypeFlow Chinese's 2.9. Minus 5 also leads on update cadence (every 9 days vs every 2 months) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). TypeFlow Chinese's advantage is ratings volume (8 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TypeFlow Chinese sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Minus 5 sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Minus 5 holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TypeFlow Chinese has 8 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

TypeFlow Chinese ships an update every 2 months, Minus 5 every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
