# Script Pro vs Inkwell Reader

Script Pro and Inkwell Reader both sit at 5.0 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Inkwell Reader's written reviews are positive against 50% of Script Pro's. Inkwell Reader also leads on ads (none vs shown). Script Pro's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks) and ratings volume (5 vs 1). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Script Pro sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Inkwell Reader sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $14.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Script Pro against 5.0 for Inkwell Reader. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Script Pro has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 50% of Script Pro's written reviews are positive against 100% of Inkwell Reader's.

Script Pro ships an update weekly, Inkwell Reader every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
