# Digext vs MediaConvert Pro

The clearest difference is update cadence: Digext at every 6 days against MediaConvert Pro's every 3 months. Digext also leads on ratings volume (11 vs 1). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Digext sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and MediaConvert Pro sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Digext against 5.0 for MediaConvert Pro. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Digext has 11 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Digext ships an update every 6 days, MediaConvert Pro every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
