Most apps drill you on word lists. Learn Bisaya teaches the way you actually use a language: through real, useful sentences with native-quality audio. Built for English speakers learning Bisaya (Cebuano) — the everyday language of Cebu and much of the Southern Philippines. How it works: • Sentence-first lessons — learn whole phrases you can use right away, each with a word-by-word breakdown and a quick grammar note • Native audio on every sentence — listen, repeat, and train your ear • Active recall — anticipate the answer, say it aloud, then check yourself • Smart spaced review — the app brings back what you're about to forget • Real conversations — step through everyday dialogues (market, directions, the doctor, a fiesta) What's inside: • 16 themed units — greetings, family, food, shopping, directions, travel, health, and more • Hundreds of practical sentences • Works fully offline — no account, no ads, no tracking Maayong pagtuon! (Happy learning!)

Ugát teaches you how words are built across the languages of the Philippines. No flashcards, no phrase books: real morphology, made welcoming. Start with a root and learn how affixes change it. In Tagalog, kain becomes kumain, kumakain, kakain. Learn the pattern once and you can build words you have never seen. How it works: • Awaken one root a day, each with its own ugát character • Unlock affix families as you go (MAG, UM, IN, I, AN, and now MAKI, MAGKA, MAGPA and IPA) • Practise 5 to 10 minutes a day, even offline • Collect a card for every root, and look out for the super rare, fully awakened ones Made for heritage learners and the Filipino diaspora: if you grew up hearing the language but always answered in English, Ugát is for you. New in 2.0: the same system with a cosier pixel art look and an animated ugát in every root. Languages: Tagalog (Filipino) and Cebuano (Bisaya), 30 roots each. Chavacano in progress. Ilocano and Hiligaynon next. A generous free tier, always. Spot something off? Tell us in Settings > Send feedback.
