# Nudge vs Flipnotes

The clearest difference is rating: Flipnotes at 5.0 against Nudge's 4.5. Nudge's advantage is ratings volume (13 vs 1) and update cadence (every 6 days vs every 2 weeks). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Nudge sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Flipnotes sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Flipnotes holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Nudge has 13 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Nudge ships an update every 6 days, Flipnotes every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
