# Morph Books vs NaturalLocalReader

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Morph Books at 75% against NaturalLocalReader's 0%. Morph Books also leads on ratings volume (10 vs 2). NaturalLocalReader's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.1) and ads (none vs shown). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Morph Books sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month and NaturalLocalReader sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

NaturalLocalReader holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Morph Books has 10 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of Morph Books's written reviews are positive against 0% of NaturalLocalReader's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 days. Both last shipped on October 31, 2026.
