# macalo vs StepScape

The clearest difference is update cadence: StepScape at every 2 days against macalo's fortnightly. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. macalo sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and StepScape sells 20 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

macalo ships an update fortnightly, StepScape every 2 days. Both last shipped on October 28, 2026.
