# Bite vs Bite Signal

The clearest difference is ads: Bite Signal at none against Bite's shown. Bite's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 weeks) and ratings volume (95 vs 7). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Bite sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month and Bite Signal sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Bite Signal holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bite has 95 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 94% of Bite's written reviews are positive against 100% of Bite Signal's.

Bite ships an update every 5 days, Bite Signal every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
