# Auto Photo vs MellowCut

The clearest difference is update cadence: MellowCut at every 2 days against Auto Photo's every 4 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Auto Photo sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and MellowCut sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Auto Photo ships an update every 4 months, MellowCut every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
