# Negi vs Penmo+ Quiet Writing Notebook

The clearest difference is monetization model: Negi at free against Penmo+ Quiet Writing Notebook's freemium. Penmo+ Quiet Writing Notebook's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Negi sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Penmo+ Quiet Writing Notebook sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
