# Secretly vs Ekko Chat

The clearest difference is update cadence: Secretly at weekly against Ekko Chat's every 3 weeks. Ekko Chat's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Secretly sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Ekko Chat sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Secretly ships an update weekly, Ekko Chat every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
