# HydroFoo vs Step Step

The clearest difference is update cadence: Step Step at every 3 days against HydroFoo's every 2 months. HydroFoo's advantage is iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. HydroFoo sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Step Step sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

HydroFoo ships an update every 2 months, Step Step every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
