# SubscriptionCat vs Pocketmux

The clearest difference is update cadence: SubscriptionCat at every 3 days against Pocketmux's monthly. SubscriptionCat also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Pocketmux's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 26.2). On price, rating, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SubscriptionCat sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Pocketmux sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for SubscriptionCat against 5.0 for Pocketmux. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1 and 1 respectively.

SubscriptionCat ships an update every 3 days, Pocketmux monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
