# FOLD vs ShiftPath

The clearest difference is update cadence: FOLD at every 3 days against ShiftPath's every 8 days. ShiftPath's advantage is iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FOLD sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and ShiftPath sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

FOLD ships an update every 3 days, ShiftPath every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
