# CoreNotes vs Offhand

The clearest difference is update cadence: Offhand at every 3 days against CoreNotes's fortnightly. CoreNotes's advantage is iOS requirement (15.5 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CoreNotes sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Offhand sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $24.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

CoreNotes ships an update fortnightly, Offhand every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
