# CoreNotes vs Daypen

The clearest difference is update cadence: Daypen at every 3 days against CoreNotes's fortnightly. Daypen also leads on device support (4 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CoreNotes sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Daypen sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

CoreNotes ships an update fortnightly, Daypen every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
