# Brainfold vs Flash Cards

The clearest difference is iOS requirement: Flash Cards at 15.6 against Brainfold's 18.0. On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Brainfold sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and Flash Cards sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
