# Brainfold vs Notra

The clearest difference is update cadence: Notra at every 10 days against Brainfold's every 2 months. Notra also leads on iOS requirement (16.4 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Brainfold sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and Notra sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Brainfold ships an update every 2 months, Notra every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
