# GitQuest vs Lecture Recorder

The clearest difference is ads: Lecture Recorder at none against GitQuest's shown. GitQuest's advantage is iOS requirement (16.4 vs 26.0). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GitQuest sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Lecture Recorder sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

GitQuest ships an update weekly, Lecture Recorder every 11 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
