# Protocol Tracker vs Aesthetic Diary

The clearest difference is update cadence: Protocol Tracker at every 2 weeks against Aesthetic Diary's every 6 weeks. Aesthetic Diary's advantage is iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Protocol Tracker sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Aesthetic Diary sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Protocol Tracker ships an update every 2 weeks, Aesthetic Diary every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
