# WhereWe vs Places

The clearest difference is update cadence: Places at every 11 days against WhereWe's every 5 weeks. Places also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. WhereWe sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Places sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

WhereWe ships an update every 5 weeks, Places every 11 days. Both last shipped on October 18, 2026.
