# LitList vs SlowRead

The clearest difference is review sentiment: LitList at 100% against SlowRead's 26%. LitList also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (5.0 vs 4.6). SlowRead's advantage is ratings volume (789 vs 1) and update cadence (every 3 days vs weekly). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. LitList sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and SlowRead sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $8.39 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

LitList holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SlowRead has 789 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 100% of LitList's written reviews are positive against 26% of SlowRead's.

LitList ships an update weekly, SlowRead every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
