# Floatory vs Minimal Digital Clock

The clearest difference is rating: Floatory at 5.0 against Minimal Digital Clock's 4.5. Floatory also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). Minimal Digital Clock's advantage is monetization model (free vs freemium) and ratings volume (17 vs 3). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Floatory sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Minimal Digital Clock sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Floatory holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Minimal Digital Clock has 17 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Floatory ships an update every 2 weeks, Minimal Digital Clock every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
