# Break Scroll vs RepScreen

The clearest difference is monetization model: Break Scroll at free with in-app purchases against RepScreen's subscription. Break Scroll also leads on ratings volume (30 vs 1). RepScreen's advantage is update cadence (daily vs fortnightly). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Break Scroll sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and RepScreen sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Break Scroll against 5.0 for RepScreen. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Break Scroll has 30 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Break Scroll ships an update fortnightly, RepScreen daily. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
