# Stoic Forge vs Private Journal

The clearest difference is rating: Private Journal at 4.6 against Stoic Forge's 3.0. Private Journal also leads on ratings volume (23 vs 2) and update cadence (every 6 days vs every 2 weeks). Stoic Forge's advantage is iOS requirement (15.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Stoic Forge sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month and Private Journal sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
