# Sotto Note vs NailBite

The clearest difference is ads: Sotto Note at none against NailBite's shown. Sotto Note also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). NailBite's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sotto Note sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and NailBite sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Sotto Note ships an update every 3 weeks, NailBite every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
