# HydroHeros vs Wedding Countdown

The clearest difference is monetization model: Wedding Countdown at free against HydroHeros's freemium. Wedding Countdown also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks) and ratings volume (24 vs 2). HydroHeros's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. HydroHeros sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Wedding Countdown sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

HydroHeros holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Wedding Countdown has 24 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

HydroHeros ships an update every 3 weeks, Wedding Countdown weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
