# DaySteps vs Charty

The clearest difference is review sentiment: DaySteps at 100% against Charty's 50%. DaySteps also leads on rating (5.0 vs 1.0) and ratings volume (8 vs 1). Charty's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and update cadence (every 6 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DaySteps sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month and Charty sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

DaySteps holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DaySteps has 8 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 100% of DaySteps's written reviews are positive against 50% of Charty's.

DaySteps ships an update every 3 weeks, Charty every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
