# Polyword vs HamTower

The clearest difference is update cadence: HamTower at every 9 days against Polyword's every 2 months. HamTower also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Polyword sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and HamTower sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Polyword ships an update every 2 months, HamTower every 9 days. Both last shipped on October 25, 2026.
