# Spirit Box Detector vs GhostScope

The clearest difference is update cadence: GhostScope at every 2 months against Spirit Box Detector's every 5 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Spirit Box Detector sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and GhostScope sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Spirit Box Detector ships an update every 5 months, GhostScope every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on September 22, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
