# GridBar vs Secret Notes

The clearest difference is update cadence: Secret Notes at every 5 days against GridBar's every 3 weeks. GridBar's advantage is iOS requirement (18.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GridBar sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Secret Notes sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

GridBar ships an update every 3 weeks, Secret Notes every 5 days. Both last shipped on November 5, 2026.
