# MatchPlay vs SidePot Golf

The clearest difference is update cadence: MatchPlay at weekly against SidePot Golf's monthly. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MatchPlay sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and SidePot Golf sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MatchPlay ships an update weekly, SidePot Golf monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
