# Fixu vs Smilo

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Fixu at 100% against Smilo's 38%. Fixu also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 6) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). Smilo's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 3.0) and ratings volume (48 vs 2). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Smilo sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Fixu asks for nothing beyond the download.

Smilo holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Smilo has 48 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Fixu's written reviews are positive against 38% of Smilo's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Fixu ships an update weekly, Smilo every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
