# TaskLock vs Kappi

The clearest difference is rating: Kappi at 5.0 against TaskLock's 4.6. TaskLock's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 9 days) and ratings volume (15 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TaskLock sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Kappi sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $39.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Kappi holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TaskLock has 15 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

TaskLock ships an update every 3 days, Kappi every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
