# StrumForge vs Guitar Visualizer

The clearest difference is monetization model: StrumForge at free against Guitar Visualizer's subscription. StrumForge also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs every 6 weeks) and rating (4.9 vs 4.6). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. StrumForge sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Guitar Visualizer sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
