# TermCOW vs ModernTerminal SSH

The clearest difference is update cadence: ModernTerminal SSH at every 2 days against TermCOW's fortnightly. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TermCOW sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and ModernTerminal SSH sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TermCOW ships an update fortnightly, ModernTerminal SSH every 2 days. Both last shipped on October 17, 2026.
