# ThingCost vs ForeSpend

The clearest difference is update cadence: ForeSpend at weekly against ThingCost's every 2 months. ThingCost's advantage is iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ThingCost sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and ForeSpend sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ThingCost ships an update every 2 months, ForeSpend weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
