# SparkTV vs TV Show Tracker

The clearest difference is rating: TV Show Tracker at 4.4 against SparkTV's 2.0. TV Show Tracker also leads on ratings volume (392 vs 1) and update cadence (every 4 days vs fortnightly). SparkTV's advantage is monetization model (ad-supported vs freemium) and device support (4 vs 2). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SparkTV sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $7.99 per month and TV Show Tracker sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TV Show Tracker holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TV Show Tracker has 392 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

SparkTV ships an update fortnightly, TV Show Tracker every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
