# BrainMaxx vs Blob

The clearest difference is monetization model: BrainMaxx at free with in-app purchases against Blob's subscription. BrainMaxx also leads on ratings volume (176 vs 3). Blob's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BrainMaxx sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and Blob sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Blob holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BrainMaxx has 176 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 92% of BrainMaxx's written reviews are positive against 100% of Blob's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly weekly. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
