# Recursive vs Pocket Grimoire

The clearest difference is update cadence: Pocket Grimoire at daily against Recursive's every 5 days. Recursive's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Recursive sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $1.99 per month and Pocket Grimoire sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Recursive ships an update every 5 days, Pocket Grimoire daily. Both last shipped on October 31, 2026.
