# Log vs Ambient Timer

The clearest difference is update cadence: Log at every 4 days against Ambient Timer's every 2 months. Log also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.6). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Log sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Ambient Timer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Log ships an update every 4 days, Ambient Timer every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
