# Future Capsule vs OpenLater

The clearest difference is update cadence: Future Capsule at every 2 days against OpenLater's fortnightly. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Future Capsule sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and OpenLater sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Future Capsule ships an update every 2 days, OpenLater fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
