# IdeaHatch vs SpeedTask

The clearest difference is ads: SpeedTask at none against IdeaHatch's shown. SpeedTask also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 weeks). IdeaHatch's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. IdeaHatch sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and SpeedTask sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

IdeaHatch ships an update every 2 weeks, SpeedTask every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
