# tiptap vs TipKeep

The clearest difference is ads: tiptap at none against TipKeep's shown. TipKeep's advantage is ratings volume (30 vs 3) and chart position (#187 vs unranked). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. tiptap sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and TipKeep sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for tiptap against 4.9 for TipKeep. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TipKeep has 30 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

tiptap ships an update every 5 days, TipKeep weekly. The most recent releases landed on September 14, 2026 and September 17, 2026 respectively.
