# RedThread vs Savos

The clearest difference is update cadence: RedThread at every 5 days against Savos's every 2 months. RedThread also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and review sentiment (100% vs 86%). Savos's advantage is ratings volume (192 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. RedThread sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Savos sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

RedThread holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Savos has 192 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 100% of RedThread's written reviews are positive against 86% of Savos's.

RedThread ships an update every 5 days, Savos every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on September 19, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
