# TheyChat vs Snapnote

The clearest difference is ads: TheyChat at none against Snapnote's shown. TheyChat also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs every 2 months). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TheyChat sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Snapnote sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TheyChat ships an update every 3 days, Snapnote every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
