# Chime vs EM

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Chime at none against EM's 1. EM's advantage is update cadence (every 6 days vs monthly). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. EM sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Chime asks for nothing beyond the download.

Chime ships an update monthly, EM every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
