# Vigdís vs Winking Star

The clearest difference is update cadence: Winking Star at every 2 days against Vigdís's weekly. Winking Star also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Vigdís sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month and Winking Star sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Vigdís ships an update weekly, Winking Star every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
