# Ace vs SewBuddy

The clearest difference is rating: SewBuddy at 4.3 against Ace's 3.7. SewBuddy also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs weekly) and ratings volume (349 vs 49). Ace's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 2) and ads (none vs shown). On price, review sentiment, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SewBuddy sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Ace asks for nothing beyond the download.

SewBuddy holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SewBuddy has 349 ratings behind it against 49, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of Ace's written reviews are positive against 32% of SewBuddy's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Ace ships an update weekly, SewBuddy every 4 days. Both last shipped on October 19, 2026.
