# Trace vs PointsGPT

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Trace at 100% against PointsGPT's 43%. Trace also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and device support (3 vs 1). PointsGPT's advantage is ratings volume (66 vs 2) and update cadence (every 2 days vs weekly). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Trace sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and PointsGPT sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $24.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Trace holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PointsGPT has 66 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 100% of Trace's written reviews are positive against 43% of PointsGPT's.

Trace ships an update weekly, PointsGPT every 2 days. Both last shipped on October 31, 2026.
